Through the HomeWorld 50-50 Charity Raffle the Thunder Nation has raised $7,267.81 for the Thunder Foundation.

A first for Australian cricket, the HomeWorld 50-50 Charity Raffle was held at Spotless Stadium during the BBL|07 season. In an exciting concept, 50% of the funds raised each game was donated to the Thunder Foundation, with the remaining 50% presented to a spectator at the game.

The Thunder Foundation is the charitable arm of Sydney Thunder and exists to support the cricket community in Australia and abroad.

Lee Germon, General Manager of Sydney Thunder, is looking forward to distributing the funds back to the cricket community.

“Sydney Thunder is proud to give back to the community and we look forward to providing ongoing support to local cricket clubs with these funds”.

HomeWorld CEO Phil Jones said that as always, it was an absolute pleasure for HomeWorld to collaborate with Sydney Thunder to support the Thunder Foundation.

“The 50:50 raffle is such a wonderful initiative and a great way for Sydney Thunder fans to come together and focus on giving back to the broader community, all while giving one lucky fan a great prize”.

“The Thunder Foundation plays a valuable role in supporting grassroots cricket clubs, community groups and schools and we admire its commitment to supporting young cricketers.”

Information on the distribution of funds to the cricket community will be communicated soon. Donations to the Thunder Foundation can be made here.
