Sydney Thunder has teamed up with 50-50 Charity Raffle for the upcoming WBBL and BBL Season.
The 50-50 Charity Raffle is a not-for-profit fundraising product that raises significant funds for charities, causes and projects. The 50-50 Charity Raffle will take place at Sydney Thunder home games at Spotless Stadium with proceeds from the raffle being distributed to grassroots cricket clubs, community groups and schools, through the Thunder Foundation.
“The Thunder Foundation is Sydney Thunders’ charitable arm and exists to give back to the community”, said Sydney Thunder General Manager Lee Germon.
“With support of the Australian Sports Foundation, donations to the Thunder Foundation ensure the sustainability of these initiatives and allow Sydney Thunder to continue to give back to the community”.
Sydney Thunder is fortunate to have the support of HomeWorld, who are on board to help the 50-50 Charity Raffle at Sydney Thunder home games.
“HomeWorld is really proud to support the Thunder Foundation and introducing the 50-50 Raffle is a way to get the whole crowd involved in the cause. Not only will it help raise much-needed funds to support sporting programs but somebody will be lucky enough to go home with a massive prize. That could possibly make it the biggest win of the season!” said Phil Jones, CEO of HomeWorld.
50-50 Charity Raffle Co-founder John Corry said “We are thrilled to be partnering with Sydney Thunder to raise funds for such a great initiative.”
“We hope to be able to add an extra element of excitement to the game day experience, with one lucky fan taking home 50% of the overall prize pool and the remaining 50% of funds going to the Thunder Foundation.”
