Thunder Assist supports club after cricket nets are damaged

After investing $4,000 into the upgrade of their local cricket nets, the Rugby Union Cricket Club in Bathurst were shocked to learn that the facilities had been vandalized and damaged. Just days after volunteers from the Club had worked on improving the nets, a burnt-out car caused substantial damage to the training facility.

Through the Thunder Foundation, Sydney Thunder has provided the Rugby Union Cricket Club with signed merchandise to be used as fundraising items, in an attempt to recoup some of the costs from the damage.

“Sydney Thunder exists to give back to the community and through the Thunder Foundation we are able to provide real, sustainable support to cricket clubs and communities across the Thunder Nation”, stated Sydney Thunder General Manager Lee Germon.
